Liner Note

It's been any heart's desire to make this album for a long time and I thank Jordi Pujol and Fresh Sounds for making it all possible. Each song in some way reflects how I feel — perhaps how we all feel when we come to the Autumn of our lives and remember the sweet, innocent times and all the "living through moments" that bring us to where we are now. The childhood memories, the first love memories, the choices that we all make — some wonderful some, not so wonderful. All the corners of our mind where we keep the bittersweet souvenirs of our journey down the lane of life.

Even more meaningful is that the project involves the person that I worked with many years ago — Dick Shreve, He was the accompanist and conductor that traveled with me during the late sixties and seventies, when we were doing nightclubs and supperclubs We have always been friends, but just recently began working together again. His song, "Autumn In In The Air", further inspired the theme of the CD. It's beautifully written, with a lovely haunting melody and perfect, poignant lyrics by Larry Orenstein.

Dick made each song tender and flowing with the magnificent emotional way that he plays. Bob Magnusson's full, rich sounds and excellence are the very best Ñ and so beautiful. I loved working with Jim Mooney again. His patience and perfection are indispensable to me He knows his craft so well.

Thanks to my dear darling husband, Carmen — always for his love and support — and for helping with the decisions in the production.

Both Dick and I would like to dedicate this album to the memory of our dear friend Marcia Chastain — a person who touched our hearts with her singing, her sweetness, and her loving friendship.
